The prime minister of Andorra Antoni Martí visited on June 5-6, 2015 the Élysée Palace

The head of the Government of AndorraAntoni Martí Petit, accompanied by the parliamentary ombudsman of the principality Vicenç Mateu visited on June 5-6, 2015 the Élysée Palace, Paris, France.

In the capital of France they participated in a traditional meeting which is held by the president of France and with – the co-prince of Andorra François Hollande at the beginning of each trimester.

The main topic of the agenda – the situation with Banca Privada d’Andorra (BPA). According to Antoni Martí, the government of Andorra (Pyrenees) “does everything possible to resolve the problem as soon as possible”. From his point of view, the main way to do it – is the restructuring of the bank. During a meeting with french president Antoni Martí also used opportunity to disprove the contradictions arising around principality because of the situation with BPA. He reminded that “Andorra firmly follows a course on development of the international cooperation and continuation of reforms”.

François Hollande, in turn, expressed satisfaction in connection with the actions of the government of Andorra directed on settlements of a situation with BPA. He also confirmed the political support in the forthcoming negotiations on entry of Andorra into the European Union.

French president also expressed interest in forthcoming seminar planned for July 7-8, 2015 in Toulouse for representatives of business of Andorra and possible cooperation with province of Midi-Pyrénées (now Occitania region).

It isn’t excluded that on the eve of this event Andorra with official visit will be visited by the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls to discuss opportunities for “deepening of process of economic openness”. His visit may take place on June 19, 2015.
