The new Tresponts tunnel, on the C-14 road, was opened on last Friday. The project includes a 1.3km tunnel by the Segre River and associated connecting roads. The project cost was about 35 million euros.
Local limestone hills around Tres Ponts are a favourite venue for rock climbers.
The C-14 runs from La Seu d’Urgell to Salou through Reus.
