The Prime Minister of Andorra (Pyrenees), Xavier Espot Zamora, stated that today begins a path shared between three political forces, forming a Government of mutual understanding and coalition of various leanings and views. The new team of the eighth Government legislature: eleven of the twelve ministers, the secretary-general, the secretary of state, the Chief of Cabinet and the Chief of Protocol, have sworn or promised their position in a celebratory act this morning at the foyer of the National Auditorium, in Ordino.
The head of government, Xavier Espot, who presided over the event, talked of the challenges ahead of Andorra: to consolidate its own model for the creation of wealth and social progress, to face the challenge of sustainability and the fight against climate change, to promote a unique diverse education systems and to implement a cultural policy that is going to allow Andorra to project its own identity in the future.
He also expressed the need to promote civic participation, improving the information mechanisms and transparency which relies on the collaboration of public employees. Espot has stated that these challenges must be assumed by the diverse political forces, responding to the choice that the voters made in the last elections of April 7.
