The National Theater of Catalonia (also known as TNC, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya), located in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) opened in 1996 with the main purpose of consolidating a high quality theater offer both nationally and internationally.
In the building of the National Theater of Catalonia, located in Plaça de les Arts, opposite L’Auditori and close to Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, there are two halls suitable for performances: the Sala Gran with Greek theater stands with a capacity of 866 people seating and Petita with mobile stands with a capacity of 266 to 500 people. It was designed by the prestigious Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill Leví and is one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona.
