The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Andorra Gilbert Saboya participated in the session of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) that took place in Basel (Switzerland)

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Andorra (Pyrenees) Gilbert Saboya participated  in the session of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) that took place on December 4-5 in Basel (Switzerland). The session was dedicated to the situation in Ukraine as well as to the current issues of OSCE work.

In the course of the session, a new Director of OSCE Bureau on the Development of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Georg Link, a representative of Germany, was appointed.

In his speech Gilbert Saboya expressed his gratitude to OSCE Chairman for his work in 2014, the year that was marked with the escalation of political situation in Ukraine. Gilbert Saboya also emphasized the importance of OSCE activities implemented for attaining the supremacy of law and democracy.

Within the bounds of the session, Gilbert Saboya had a number of bilateral meetings with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel García, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Portugal Rui Machete, the Secretary General of European Council  Thorbjørn Jagland, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Monaco Jose Badia, the colleague from San Marino Pascal Valentini and others.
