For the fourth time, the blood that has been donated in Andorra (Pyrenees) has saved the life of a child. This was announced at the annual meeting of the Committee for Monitoring Programs related to the use of cord blood. The report also shows the quality of the work done and the numbers, confirming that more and more women are ready to become donors. This increase was evident from 2017 to 2018.
The Minister of Health of Andorra, Carles Alvarez, discussed prospects for cooperation on this issue with the Secretary of State for Health, Joan Leon. He also represents the National Organ Transplant Organization of Spain and the blood and tissue bank of Catalonia.
