hands-andorraThe French companies show the increasing interest in investments into Andorra (Pyrenees). It was declared by the president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marc Pantebre following the results of a meeting with the ambassador of France in Andorra Ginette de Matha.

At the meeting the parties discussed process of the economic openness  of principality, and also tax advantages which will be available in Andorra to her northern neighbor.

The Government of Andorra, recorded growth of activity from citizens of France in the second quarter 2014 – after signing of the agreement on cancellation of the double taxation (CDI) between France and Andorra. “CDI created legal definiteness for the companies which want to make investments in Andorra“, Mark Pantebre declared. At the same time, he paid attention that crisis with Banca Privada d’Andorra slowed down rate of investments into Andorra, including France. “It is obvious — all wait that will happen to the bank further”, he explained.

According to the president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Andorra “intends to make serious efforts to promote further development of trade relations between two countries”. Until the end of May of this year the delegation of businessmen of the region of France (Midi-Pyrénées, now Occitania) intends to visit Andorra for more detailed studying of questions of economic cooperation.

Besides cooperation in the economic sphere the parties also discussed prospects of collaboration between two countries concerning culture.
