The exhibition “Welcome back home! Andorran works of art, taken from abroad” invites its visitors to the Exhibition Hall of Andorran Government on September 23

The exhibition “Welcome back home! Andorran works of art, taken from abroad” invites  its visitors to the Exhibition Hall of the Government of Andorra on September 23 in Andorra la Vella, Andorra (Pyrenees).

A greater part of the presented collection are the works of Andorran art, taken from the Principality in the first half of XX century, that now belong to different private and museum collections. The majority of the exhibited items have religious and church origin of roman period and other epochs. Most of the time, the collection is kept at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain).

This exhibition is a joint project of the Cultural Heritage Department of Andorran Ministry for Foreign Affairs, realized by the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Prado Museum and Andorran archpriestshop that presented the works of art from their collections. The exhibition is sponsored by Credit Andorra Bank, Andorra Telecom and FEDA.

The period of opening: September 23, 2014 – January 11, 2015

Working hours: daily from 10.00 till 13.00 and from 16.00 till 20.00. On Sundays: from 10.00 till 14.00
