The children’s film festival in Andorra was attended by 6000 persons

Fifty movie screenings and about 6000 spectators – that is the result of the children’s festival of animation movies, where 15 countries took part.

The festival for the children ageing from 2 till 12 took place in Andorra (Pyrenees) on May 7-18.

This year was a debut for the festival as far as previously it has never been mentioned in the list of events that are conducted in European countries on the international level.

In accordance to the results of the festival it was decided to select the best short-length animation film. The movie “Snap” of Belgian animator Thomas G. Murphy became the winner. Among the participants of the film festival one could found the name of the animator from Russia Leonid Shmelkov.

Two competitions with granting the prices for the best photo from the festival, posted by Instagram users: @callejastoni and @gilblasi, as well as several other projects were realized within the bounds of the festival. In particular, the list of projects included puppet theatre performance and SP3 band concert, that gathered about 1500 viewers.

Jordi Errerosa and Marta Llado, the organizers of the festival, are completely satisfied with the visiting statistics and already started to plan the next event of a similar scale. The organizers emphasize that the participation of private sponsors is very welcomed.
