The Government of Andorra has announced a competition of projects in the field of energy efficiency of buildings and renewable energy. This was announced by the representatives of the Ministry of environment and agriculture Marc Rossell and Carles Miquel, on April 18, speaking to the reporters. According to the results of the contest will be selected some of the best projects, winners will receive grants totaling € 1 million.
According to Mark Rossel, the number of projects in this area is growing every year. In particular, in 2015, the government received 196 proposals, that is 25.6% more than in 2014.
The plan of financial support of the government also includes projects for the installation of chargers for electric vehicles to increase their use in Andorra (Pyrenees).
Carles Miguel, in his turn, reminded that the government offers reduced rates of tariffs for the use of solar energy.
One of the projects in Andorra is the production of electricity by photovoltaic cells (maximum power 750 kV). The cost of 1 kWh of such energy is about 0.20 Euro for companies.
