The Government of Andorra approved the project of construction of two sections of bicycle lanes in San Julia de Loria in Andorra (Pyrenees).
The first section starts from the storage areas of the administrative district, the second – from plaça Laurèdia. Both lanes will be constructed along the side of the highway.
The cost of the first phase is estimated at 600.000 euros, deadline – six months. The cost of the second area – 76 thousand euros, deadline is 6 weeks. These projects are a proof that Andorra is ready to support and develop cycling in the principality. Sant Julia de Loria – the area most visited by cyclists from Andorra and neighbouring Catalonia, Spain. Professional riders also prefer to train in this area.
