The 3nd conference of winemakers—producers of high-quality wines made of grape sorts that grow at the Pyrenees mountainous estates opened on November 28 in San Julia de Loria, Andorra (Pyrenees).
Nowadays there are 4 wineries in Andorra and they supply wine not only its internal market.
Among Andorran wineries – Casa Beal, Casa Auvinya, Celler Mas Berenguer and Borda Sabater.
Andorran wines can be bought in Portugal, Spain, France and many other European countries, even in Hungary. Wine-makers from these countries were invited to the conference both in the roles of participants and guests.
The Minister for Tourism and Trade Francesc Camp noted the importance of the event for Andorra. He said that “though collateral but wine making is still an integral part of the touristic business of Andorra. He also noted that the wineries in Andorra presented an additional incentive for visiting the Principality within the bounds of gastronomy tour that are popular in Andorra all year round.
In the framework of the conference there were seminars with experts of wine production on the themes of “New technologies of marketing in wine sales”, “New markets”, “Technology of production”.
After official opening of the conference wine sampling, attended by all quests, took place at Placa de la Germandat square of Sant Julia de Loria parròquia.
The conference will continue until evening of November, 29.
