Monfort 125 cc (1957).

Monfort was a Catalan brand of motorcycles, manufactured by the company Manufacturas Metálicas Monfort between 1957 and 1958 in Esparreguera, Baix Llobregat.

Monfort was the successor of the old manufacturer Aleu, producing its old models with improvements in order to modernize them, but it was not successful and the company abandoned the project.

Today, Manufactures Metàllîliques Monfort continues to manufacture enduro motorcycles under the Alfer brand in Sant Cugat del Vallès, with its own frame and Hiro, Villa and Rotax engines.

As a curiosity, Francesc Xavier Bultó had to reach an agreement with Monfort to start manufacturing the first Bultacos, since due to administrative issues they did not give him a manufacturing license.
