Smolenskaya metro station (Filyovskaya line)

Smolenskaya is a station on the Filyovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It is located on the line between Arbatskaya and Kyevskaya stations. Between Smolenskaya and Kievskaya there is an open section (Smolensky metro bridge).

It was opened on May 15, 1935 as part of the section of the first stage of 13 stations “Sokolniki” – “Park Kultury” with a branch line “Okhotny Ryad” – “Smolenskaya”.

The design of the station is a shallow column. It was built according to a standard project from monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete.

Passenger traffic 14,450 people per day. Depth of laying – 8 meters.
