Saint-Lary with over 100 km of ski slopes

The ski resort of Saint-Lary is one of the largest in the Pyrenees (Occitania, France). It is located on different slopes – both in the mountains and in the forest in the commune of Saint-Lary-Soulan (Hautes-Pyrénées department). Rich landscapes have a big advantage – they allow you to ski in almost all weather conditions!

The resort of Saint-Lary offers more than 100 km of slopes and 3 zones – le Pla d’Adet, Espiaube and Vallon du Portet: a total of 56 slopes and 28 lifts.

The Saint-Lary resort was opened in 1957, at first it was located only in the Le Pla d’Adet area. This area is directly connected to the village center by ski lifts. There are restaurants, shops, ski schools and kindergartens.

One of the main strengths of Saint-Lary is the way it is designed. All family or friends, regardless of level, can ride throughout the territory. Beginners shouldn’t stay at the bottom of the slopes here!

The Aure Valley, where Saint-Lary is located, is renowned for its history. There were no religious wars here … moreover, the valley was spared even from the industrial revolution!

The resort of Saint-Lary is located on the edge of the Pyrenees National Park and the Néouvielle Nature Reserve. More than 80% of the park’s territories are preserved and protected, free shuttles allow vacationers not to use cars to access the slopes.

The resort has the status of “Famille Plus Montagne”, which obliges it to comply with the following 6 points:

1. The resort is designed for family holidays

2. Animation for all ages

3. Flexible tariff policy depending on age

4. Convenient placement

5. Local health care

6. Gifts for children
