Ripoll (Catalonia) joined the “Entre Tots, Fem Gran l’Acolliment” campaign, run by the Catalan Institute of Guardianship and Adoption. The goal of the campaign is to encourage and help families who want to adopt a child or a teenager.
In Catalonia, more than 700 families have adopted children. Despite this, about 550 children under the age of 18 are currently awaiting adoption. Of these, one hundred children are under six years old.
The city has a Family Integration Service, which processes data on the intentions to adopt a child and promotes adoption.
