ZIL-49061 “Blue Bird” – a Soviet three-axle all-wheel drive floating vehicle based on the ZIL-4906 all-terrain vehicle. It was originally created as an all-terrain vehicle designed to search for and evacuate landed spacecraft crews.

Participated in 1992 in providing the world’s first private space launch “Europe-America 500”.

The first prototype car was built in 1971. Produced from 1980 to November 1991. The search and rescue complex “Blue Bird” entered the supply of the USSR Air Force PSS in the first half of the 1980s and replaced the PES-1 family of vehicles of a similar purpose.
