SPORT

THE 9th Andorra Ultra Trail Vallnord, La Massana. Tuesday 4th to Sunday, 9th July starting from the Plaça Major, Ordino. Andorra Ultra Trail Vallnord is well positioned in the panorama of the international mountain racing scene. The number of nationalities taking part is proof of the acceptance it has achieved. There are a total of six different races, including a new one, and almost all are now fully subscribed. The new race, the toughest of all, has been dubbed Eufòria. The figures of this new challenge are impressive: 233 km of course and 20,000 meters of positive difference in altitude! A test of extreme resilience that will be run in pairs and in which there are no markings or supplies – only for the most experienced. The ULTRA TRAIL programme is completed by the already known races that allow one to discover the Principality from the highest peaks, with routes that cross the nature parks of the Comapedrosa, Sorteny and Madriu valleys. They are the Ronda dels Cims (170 km with 13,500 m of +/- altitude), the Mythical (112 km with 9,700 m of +/- altitude); the Celestrail (83 km with 5,000 m of +/- altitude), the Marató dels Cims (42.5 km with 3,000 m of +/- altitude) and the Solidaritrail (10 km with 750 m of +/- altitude).

Culturally yours,

Clare
