LA BOHEME: Tuesday, 3rd October at 20.15 at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. Opera Direct from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Antonio Pappano conducts a superb young cast including Nicole Car, Michael Fabiano and Mariusz Kwiecień in Richard Jones’s new production of Puccini’s passionate opera. ÍNTIMO by MIGUEL POVEDA in the 35TH INTERNATIONAL NARCISO YEPES FESTIVAL: Friday, 6th October at 21h at the National Auditorium, Ordino. (Tickets: 25€ in advance or 30€ on the night. From Ordino Tourist Office.) The singer, Miguel Poveda, will present Íntimo , a show based on a tour of flamenco, cobla music and poetry, in which the artist transmits passion and excellence through the odes of great poets such as Federico García Lorca and Miguel Hernández. Thanks to the musical direction of Joan Albert Amargós, Poveda interprets a series of poems and a very demanding flamenco section with great vocal delivery. Along with guitarist Jesús Guerrero and percussionist Paquito González, Íntimo is a dynamic concert full of emotion.


MOTHER!:  Monday 2nd to Thursday, 5th October at 20h at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, Starring:  Jennifer Lawrence,  Javier Bardem,  Ed Harris. (A horror film for people over 16.) The Story: A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.


IMPRESSIONIST WORKSHOP: @cthyssenandorra a #pleinair Saturday, 7th October at 10h at the Museu Thyssen, Escaldes-Engordany. (Reservation: Telephone 800 800 or by email: [email protected]). An outdoor art workshop, open to all ages with the object of recreating the Impressionists’ way of painting.


Saturday, 7th October from 10h in the Plaça Sant Miquel, Encamp. Encamp’s Saturday Street Market. A colourful market organised by the small businesses of Encamp. It frequently includes cultural events as well, such as exhibitions by local artists, children’s face painting or maybe a barbeque.
