The little rat of the well known story that Alice explains, ends in the arms of a cat that wants to eat her, but the cat hasn’t taken into account the little rat’s friends. But luckily, in real life, there is still a rat on the farm, who lives happily with the rest of animals. The three adventurers stay on to take care of them.

17h ‘Laika’ with Xirriquiteula Theater. At the end of the show there will be a workshop. Laika, the first astronaut dog in history, inspires this show for the whole family that explains very visually a fundamental episode in the history of space travel, but that is also the story of abuse. Everything happened (because this story is inspired by real events) in 1957, when the Soviet Union sent an animal into space for the first time. It has ended up in history as the first being to orbit the earth. She was a dog named Laika, who, in this story, runs through Moscow’s parks and squares without imagining that her fate is to join the same stars she sees every night. So it was that she became the protagonist of a thrilling story that took her to Sputnik II spacecraft and to orbit around our planet. But, although it seems an exciting adventure, the story of Laika did not end very well, at least for the protagonist. That is why Xirriquiteula Teatre took the opportunity to tell us a parallel story: that of those who, like Laika herself, are victims of abuse and are immersed, unintentionally, in the struggles for power over others.

SUNDAY: 11h ‘Dragonci’ with the The Binèfar Puppeteers. Dragonci is a fun, festive and crazy version of the legend of Sant Jordi, with the Princess and the Dragon in a puppet setting with a design inspired by Gaudí and with live traditional music.

The Binèfar puppeteers have performed all over the world, from the Guggenheim of New York to the favelas of Sao Paulo, and were the winners of the National Theater Prize for Children and Youth, 2009.
17h ‘Tropic’ with Teia Moner. At the end of the show there will be a workshop. A tropical spectacle. Magic and puppets. The Tropics run parallel around the widest part of the Earth. The Tropic of Cancer is above Ecuador and the Tropic of Capricorn below. The Tropics go through a lot of countries with different cultures and ethnicities, all of them united by the tropical spirit. This is a show inspired by the stories of writers who live or who speak of the tropic of Capricorn, the tropic of Cancer and of Ecuador.

PAS DE LA CASA PROGRAMME:

Sala de Festes, Pas de la Casa

SATURDAY: 11h ‘Dairy tale’ with Xip Xip The protagonist of this story is a girl like many of the girls we all know: playful, full of fantasies and who likes to sing. On her birthday, her mother gives her a jug full of milk to take to the market. With the money that she’s paid for the milk she can buy what she wants: shoes, a dress or … Imagine what! On the way to the market, our friend meets a series of very funny characters: a hen that is covering her eggs, a pig that’s looking for agates for lunch and a very cowardly cow. They all advise the dairy maid to be very careful with her pitcher of milk: do not hit it with a stone and spill it or break it. Do you think they had a point?
