EXHIBITION
Until Friday, 31st January, 2020. The House of Rossell, an interior look in the Postal Museum, Ordino. The ground floor of the Postal Museum (the era of Rasero d’Ordino), has been transformed into a temporary exhibition hall where a sample from the 17th to the 20th century has been prepared to publicize one of Andorra’s most important heritage collections. Documented since the 15th century, Casa Rossell is one of the most important Houses in Andorra, whether from the economic or the political point of view. Apart from being one of the country’s great landowners, the Rossell family includes important public figures, among them Antoni Fiter i Rossell (1706-1748), editor of the Manual Digest in which he compiled, for the first time, the history, government and customs of Andorra and transcribed a document written by Charlemagne.

The collection bears testimony to the wealth and importance of the family. The exhibition focuses on various areas of their life, symbolically represented by objects and organized thematically: wealth and properties, domestic life, social and cultural life, etc.
