Almost everything will be closed.

MUSIC

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of both the ONCA and the Constitution of the Principality of Andorra Tuesday, 13th March at 21h in the National Auditorium, Ordino. (Free) with the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra and the Gio Orquestra de Girona featuring Andorra’s international musicians, Lluis and Gerard Claret as soloists and directed by the renowned Catalan musician Salvador Brotons. They will be playing Salvador Brotons’ Double Concert for Violin, Cello and Orchestra and Ludwig V. Beethoven’s  ‘Heroic’ Symphony no. 3 in E flat Major. This concert is presented in collaboration with Andorra’s parliament, the Consell General d’Andorra.

Concert of Shakuhachi Thursday, 15th March at 20.30h at the Government art gallery ARTALROC, Escaldes-Engordany. (Free but you must book in advance by ringing 828 704.) the Shakuhachi is a traditional Chinese flute and will be played by Yosuke Irie. The concert has been  inspired by ARTALROC’s present exhibition ‘Xao Xia in Andorra’

A concert by Andchor Sunday, 18th March at 20.15h at the Church of Sant Pere, Pas de la Casa (Free) (Just after evening Mass.) A concert by Andchor (part of The Petits Cantors del Principat d’Andorra), directed by Catherine Metayer.

DANCE

Sardana dancing Wednesday, 14th March at 13h in the Plaça del Consell, Andorra la Vella. Traditional Sardana dancing in honour of Constitution Day accompanied by the traditional, Catalan Cobla band of Pricipal de Berga. In case of bad weather it will be held in the vestibule of the new Consell General parliament building.

An evening of ballroom dancing Saturday, 17th March at 23h at the Prat del Roure, Escaldes-Engordany. (7€) ballroom dancing to the live music of Cafè Trio.

EXHIBITION

Works in a Small Format Until Sunday 8th April in the lobby of the Centre Cultural, Sant Julià de Lòria. A Joint Exhibition of creations from Andorra’s Schools of Art Open Monday to Friday from 9h – 22h and Saturday from 10h – 13h.

CINEMA

Loving Pablo Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th and Thursday, 15th March at 20h and Wednesday, 14th Marc at 20.15h at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. Loving Pablo (in English) Directed by  Fernando León de Aranoa. Starring  Penélope Cruz,  Javier Bardem,  Peter Sarsgaard The Story: A journalist strikes up a romantic relationship with the notorious drug lord, Pablo Escobar.

CHILDREN

The Piolets’ Magic Island Wednesday, 14th March from 10.45h – 19h at the Illa Carlemany Shopping Centre, Escaldes-Engordany. Celebrating Andorra’s Constitution Day: The Piolets’ Magic Island. Led by the ever popular children’s TV personalities Piolet, Violeta & Andi. 10.45h Join them for breakfast with hot chocolate and croissants for everyone on the ground floor. 11.15h Presentation of the new Club Piolet spectacular Xef Piolet. 12.30h A free cinema showing of the Walt Disney film Fantasia. 16h On floor 0 workshops in magic and face painting with Piolet, Violeta & Andi. 18h On the ground floor, a spectacular of magic and illusions by the Andorran magicians Toni el Mag and Marc Ferrer.

SPORT

Finals of the FIS 2018 European Alpine Skiing Cup. From Tuesday 13th to Sunday, 18th March at Grandvalira/ Soldeu and El Tarter. Finals of the FIS 2018 European Alpine Skiing Cup. The pistes of Avet (Grandvalira-Soldeu) and Àliga (Grandvalira-El Tarter) will decide who are this year’s men’s and women’s champions in the various categories of the 2018 European Cup, the continent’s most important Alpine skiing competition. The legendary Avet piste of the Soldeu sector and the already emblematic piste Àliga of the El Tarter sector, will be the venues where the fight for the European titles will be decided. Grandvalira has, on seven occasions, been the scene of the European Cup trials. This year’s finals are an important test for facing the celebration of the 2019 World Cup finals on the same Grandvalira pistes.

Happy Hour at Vallnord Pal/Arinsal SKI STATION. Every Saturday until the end of the Season. Happy Hour at Vallnord Pal/Arinsal . To take advantage of the extra daylight, the stations will be open from 9h – 18h on Saturdays at no extra charge.
