Concert of the Constitution with the Quartet Americà of the Classical National Orchestra of Andorra. Programme: Franz Joseph Haydn: Albada string Quartet op. 76 no. 4, and Antonín Dvořák: American string quartet in F major op. 96 with Musicians: Francesc Planella and Sergi Claret (violins) Joan Fèlix (viola) and Carolina Bartumeu (cello) Followed by Sardana dancing in the square outside.

Thursday, 14th March at 21.30h at Sport Hotel Village Soldeu. (Free) Concert of the band Shuffle Express. A traditional and contemporary blues night in different styles (swing, rock, shuffle, calypso …) versions of artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Joe Bonamassa, Susan Tedeschi and Jr. Watson, among others, with some compositions of the band. Musicians: Pablo Villar (vocals and guitar); Virginia Yañez (keyboard and vocals); Marc Milian (bass and sound); Dante Falótico (percussion). Saturday, 16th March at 22h at the Sport Hotel Hermitage, Soldeu. Jordi Barceló in concert. Jordi Barceló is considered one of the musicians par excellence in Andorra. Pianist, composer and pedagogue, he directs the Valls del Nord Music School, where he teaches classical, modern and jazz piano. He combines this work with the musical direction of the music band Grossband de la Massana, made up of thirty musicians, as well as performing concerts around the world
Sunday, 17th March at 13h at the Ordino-Arcalís snowfield (Terrassa Moritz), Ordino. CLASSICAL ORDINO – Vermuts musicals with the paticipation of Andorra’s children’s choirs and students at the country’s schools of music.

Monday 11th – Wednesday, 13th March at 20h and Thursday, 14th March at 20.30h at the Cinemes Illa Carlemany, Escaldes-Engordany. The Mule. Directed by Clint Eastwood. Starring: Bradley Cooper, Clint Eastwood, Manny Montana. The Story: Broke, alone and facing foreclosure on his business, 90-year-old horticulturist and Korean War veteran, Earl Stone, takes a job as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. His immediate success leads to easy money. A larger, $3 million worth shipment of cocaine, soon draws the attention of hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates. When Earl’s past mistakes start to weigh heavily on his conscience, he must decide whether to right those wrongs before law enforcement and cartel thugs catch up with him.

Thursday, 14th March at 19.45h & 22.30h at the Sport Hotel Hermitage, Soldeu. (Free) Performance by the Illusionist Jordi Caps. Jordi Caps is a professional illusionist, and a member of the Spanish Society of Enlightenment. The first wizard in the world to perform an official magic show aboard the largest passenger plane in the world, the Airbus 380. Also worthy of note is his collaborations for events of FC Barcelona, his performances for celebrities like Charlize Theron and, even, for the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia.
Wednesday, 13th March & Thursday, 14th March in Andorra la Vella. Celebration of the 26th Anniversary of the Constitution. The General Council (parliament) is once more organising various acts to celebrate the anniversary of the Constitution. In addition to the open days (I presume this means of the building itself C.A.) on 13th March in the afternoon (no clear time or place given…C.A.) and on 14th March at 11h two spectacles created for the occasion of the 600th Anniversary of the Earth Council (one of Europe’s oldest parliaments) will be released: the theatrical show for all audiences ‘600 years ago …’ by Mercè Canals and Olga Armengol, and the performance ‘Terra’ by the folk dance group Esbart Laurèdia with live music by the group El Pont d’Arcalís.
