Figueres will celebrate the International Day for the elimination of violence against women

On November 25th, Figueres (CataloniaSpainPyrenees) will celebrate the International Day for the elimination of violence against women.

The City Council of Figueres will celebrate on November 25 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with an act of recognition and tribute to the 1,027 women that were death victims at the hands of their partners or ex-partners. The event, which will also include the reading of a manifesto, will be held on Passeig Nou from 10 am to 1 pm.

The celebration will also address violence against women in the workplace. In collaboration with the City Council’s Department of Economic Promotion, a conference will be held on good Equality practices in the workplace. Finally, a training session will be organized on the prevention of forced marriages.
