On August 23, the 2018 cycle of traditional Pyrenees music concerts will end (El Festival de Música Antiga dels Pirineus, FeMAP).
The concert will take place at 21.30 in the l’Artalroc exhibition center in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra. Hirundo Maris, Arianna Savall and Petter U. Johansen will perform the “La rosa dels vents”. It will be a musical journey through geography and time with traditional Sephardic, Catalan, Spanish, Celtic and Norwegian melodies.
The concert is timed to the exhibition “Geometry of colour” by American artist Alexander Calder – one of the most important American sculptors of the 20th century. He is best known for his colourful, whimsical abstract public sculptures and his innovative mobiles – kinetic sculptures powered by motors or air currents.
