Occident is to sponsor the new edition of the 2024 Cruïlla Festival

Occident is to sponsor the new edition of the 2024 Cruïlla Festival, which is taking place from 10 to 13 July at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. In this way the insurer is fostering its promotion of music and culture in Catalonia, as well as its strong commitment to the arts sector.

As part of the collaboration agreement, Occident will be giving its name to one of the festival’s main stages. In addition, it will have a brand presence in the various materials at the venue, such as the communication materials or on the merchandising that will be distributed among the attendees.

In this regard, the Cruïlla Festival has stood out since its inception for the corporate social responsibility actions it has implemented. In recent editions, the Festival has doubled its efforts in this area, and, for example, for the second year running it will be hosting the “Espai Transforma’t”, a space that aims to be a place of reflection on the situation in the world for various organisations and NGOs. The festival also allocates donations from ticket sales and surplus cashless bracelets to Oxfam Intermón in order to facilitate access to clean drinking water for people in situations of poverty and social exclusion.

The Cruïlla Festival 2024 has confirmed the participation of popular and famous bands and artists such as the Pet Shop Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne, María Becerra, María Escarmiento, Amaral, Oques Grasses, The Tyets and Figa Flawas in the line-up of the new edition. The festival will also be featuring performances by various comedians to liven up the nights of 12 and 13 July: Xavi Daura, Ignatius Farray and Charlie Pee are some of the comedians that will be performing on the stages of the Catalan festival.

In addition to music and humour, the presence of art has been a prominent feature of the latest editions of the Cruïlla Festival. Whether in the form of large murals, giant sculptures, illustrations, street art or artistic interventions on the stages, the festival attendees have entered the venue wondering what they would find apart from a unique musical line-up.

Since its inception, Occident has considered the world of music as a key component in its sponsorship strategy. The company thus demonstrates its support for culture by collaborating in several events, seeking to provide exceptional experiences to both its customers and the general public. This includes a variety of artists and musical tastes.

Occident was a sponsor of the 11th White Summer Festival on the Costa Brava; it has become an official sponsor of Les Nits de Barcelona; and will be part of the Occident Summerfest Cerdanya festival for another year.
