A new automatic meteorological station Roc de Sant Pere was installed in Andorra (Pyrenees).
With the help of the new station, it will be possible to obtain more accurate data on the weather forecast in the principality within the next hours and days, as well as information on the minimum and maximum daily temperature of 10 cm from the ground, direction and wind speed, sunlight and radiation level.
The station allows to read the data every minute.
Data comes from an analog modem to a central server located in the Government of Andorra.
The opening of the new station is part of the modernization of the meteorological service in order to combat climate change.
