Museum of the Special Purpose Garage of the FSO of Russia

Museum of the Special Purpose Garage of the FSO of Russia is located in the Pavilion №53-54 of VDNKh park, Moscow, Russia.

The museum presents the legendary cars of the leaders of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation.

Each car is a witness of the era: from the imperial Rolls-Royce and Mercedes to modern Aurus cars, from Soviet ZiS and ZiL models to Honorary Escort motorcycles. Among the central exhibits is the Aurus Senat Limousine, which delivered the President of Russia V.V. Putin at the inauguration ceremony in May 2018.

Master classes and lectures on automotive history, industrial design and other engineering disciplines are held for children. All guests can get acquainted with the cars of the Special Purpose Garage and motorcycles of the Honorary Escort, evaluate interactive exhibits and sit in the salons of legendary cars.

The current building of the museum was designed in 1954. Architects – A.O. Kolesnichenko, G.G. Savinov.

Current state

In January 2021, the Special Purpose Garage of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation celebrated its centenary. The opening of the multifunctional museum and exhibition complex “Special Purpose Garage Museum” in two pavilions on the territory of VDNKh was timed to coincide with this event. The created museum has become the main keeper of the history of the legendary division and the center for studying the world automotive industry.
