The Muga castle is an old farmhouse converted into a historic castle

The Muga castle (cat. Mas de la Muga) is an old farmhouse converted into a historic castle in the municipality of Belvey (Baix Penedes, Tarragona province, Catalonia, Spain).

Muga’s old farmhouse is documented as far back as the 11th century. The farmhouse underwent an unsuccessful restoration, followed by destruction.

This building has been declared a Cultural Heritage of National Interest.

The castle is located on the top of a hill, 154 m above sea level. It is in a very poor condition, however, its three towers are relatively preserved.

The building is built of bricks and iron.

Located 15 minutes by car from Calafell.
