MOTO GP champion Jorge Lorenzo announced the opening of the museum in Andorra with the collections associated with historical events and figures of the world of MOTO GP and Formula 1

MOTOGP champion Jorge Lorenzo announced the opening of the museum in Andorra (Pyrenees) with the collections associated with historical events and figures of the world of Grand Prix motorcycle racing.

The museum will be located in 400 sq. m. plot between the shopping mall of the Pyrenees and parking Trillà. A specialized shopping department, a gym, a relaxation area, a hall with interactive displays will also be at this centre.

In the first stage, the collection will contain 27 original items from the world of Formula 1 and the 16 exhibits from the world of MOTORcycle GP, including things belonging to rivals of Jorge Lorenzo – Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. The collection includes the helmet of Airton Senna, personal staff of Alain Prost, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher and many others.

The representatives of the administration of Andorra la Vella says, the location of new museum will give a new impetus for tourism in the top of the main shopping street of the capital – Avenue Meritxell.

Presumably, the museum will be open by July 2016.
