Montesa COTA 25. Made in 1972

The Montesa Cota 25 was a children’s trial minimoto model from the Cota de Montesa that was in production between 1971 and 1982. Throughout its commercial life, several versions were made, all of them with the following general characteristics: one-piece tank-saddle assembly in red (changed to white in 1981), 48.76 cc air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine -available in automatic version or with two-speed manual transmission three-speed, self-supporting removable frame, drum brakes and conventional front and telescopic fork shock absorbers at the rear.

As was the case with most Montesa minibikes and mopeds, the engine was the G50 model from the German firm Jlo, which was manufactured under license by the Catalan company.
