MiG – 15 UTI training fighter. Designed in 1949. A two-seater middle-wing plane of the all metal construction with a hermetic cockpit and two catapulting seats. Crew – 2, armament – 23 mm NR-23 gun; 12.7 UKB-E machine gun, speed – 1010 km/h, ceiling – 14150 m, flight range – 950 km. A Soviet first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin died in the crash of this type of aircraft in 1968.
