Macbor 125cc. Black & white version. Made in Rubí (Spain)

Macbor is a Catalan brand of motorcycles and quads manufactured in Rubí, Vallès Occidental, by the company Motos Bordoy, SA (Barcelona group that created this brand in 1999 in order to cover the children’s and youth market).

Motos Bordoy was founded in 1971 in Barcelona by Jaume Bordoy, ex-professional pilot who had competed in speed races, rallies, enduro and trials, having been Spanish endurance champion with Bultaco in 1961. Currently managed by his sons Albert and Jordi, the company is dedicated to the exclusive import and distribution of international brands such as SYM, MV Agusta, Cagiva, Husqvarna, Hyosung or Ducati.

Seeing that it lacked to reach the younger customer sector, the company founded Macbor in 1999.

In 2000, it launched its first models on the market: the XC 510 and the XC 512. A year later, the XC 515 appeared with an engine equipped with a gear change.

In 2002, Macbor completely revamped its range by launching the second product family with a completely new part cycle, new bodywork and new S-6 engines from Morini. The range consisted of the XC 510 S, XC 512 S and XC 512 T. In its first year of life, more than 1,000 units of the new Macbor motorcycle family were manufactured. Towards the end of 2002, Macbor enters the world of quad bikes with two models of 50 and 100 cc.
