The Pyrenees ski resort of Luchon-Superbagnères is located in the town of Bagnères-de-Luchon in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (France).
The resort is located at an altitude of 1465 – 2125 meters.
It has been inaugurated since the early 20th century, thanks to a wave of discoveries of the Pyrenees region, in particular by the British. Initially, it was accessible by a cogwheel train, which entered service in 1912.
However, the carroad won out over the railroad, which was finally suspended in 1966.
The cable car was launched in 1993 to connect the city with the resort.
