Stage of the competition Vuelta a España-2017 in Andorra (Pyrenees) has been finished. It was held on 21-22 August. Following the event, the organizers announced the intentions to continue thier relationship.
The following year La Vuelta cycling race has the ability to go back to Andorra, but the format of the competition can be changed. In particular, Andorra claims not only for the organization of the arrival and start of the race, but also for organization of full day of rest, as it was last year during the Andorran stage of Tour de France (day of rest all central city cafes were filled by riders handing out his autographs).
As previously reported, after the attack in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, the Andorran police have taken extraordinary steps to ensure the safety of the stage race Vuelta-2017. Security measures were strengthened on the Spanish-Andorran border and in public areas of Andorra.
