La Maquinista Terrestre y Marítima (MTM) was a metallurgical company based in Barcelona (Spain).

It was founded in Barcelona on September 14, 1855, as a result of the merger between the workshops of Valentín Esparó Giralt (Valentín Esparó y Consocios, acquired from the Bonaplata company in 1839) and Sociedad La Barcelonesa (Tous, Ascacíbar y Compañía), founded in 1838 by Nicolás Tous Mirapeix and Celedonio Ascacíbar.

Since 1989 it has been part of the French multinational railway company Alstom.
