The second edition of the Freeride Junior World championships (FJWC) in Grandvalira, Andorra is dropping in a few days. Fifty-nine riders from two regions (Europe/Oceania and The Americas) and 15 different countries (from New Zeland to Canada, from France to Northern Europe) are facing off on the fabled peaks of the high Pyrenees in an event that matches the caliber of the Freeride World Tour. Young riders aged 16-18 will show spectators just how high the level of riding is in the up-and-coming youth generation.

The FJWC is a revolutionary event because it allows the finest young ski riders the dream of being able to participate in an event reminiscent of the legendary FWT, including the highest quality webcasts, production crews, and operations staff. There simply is no similar event that supports the growing generation of freeriders in reaching their aspirations of being professional athletes.

The program begins at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 27, as riders make their way to the mountains for face inspection. Later that evening, the opening ceremony will take place at the Abarset Bar in Grandvalira. The competition will take place Thursday 28 at 9:30 AM CET. Spectators and riders will then meet in the event village to prize-giving ceremony at the Abarset bar from 6:00-7:00 PM.
