The head of the Government of Andorra, Antoni Martí Petit, met with Jean-Pierre Hugues – a new representative of the President of France and co-prince of Andorra François Hollande.
During the thirty-minute meeting, the sides discussed the political and economic situation in Andorra, in particular, the process of integrating Andorra into the European Union. Antoni Martí introduced to Jean-Pierre Hugues an agenda of the negotiations in the upcoming months.
François Hollande’s representative was interested in questions regarding the reform of the executive body of the principality in the framework of international tax regulations.
Antoni Martí expressed the commitment of Andorra (Pyrenees) to transparency in relation to the OECD and the EU, stressing that these goals correspond to the desire to make the principality an open, investment-attractive, dynamic and competitive country in accordance with international standards.
