The first business meeting between Andorra (Pyrenees) and Israel business representatives and government officials has taken place today in Andorra. Among the discussed issues are innovative technologies, scientific research, healthcare system, cooperation in the area of tourism.
In his welcoming speech, Andorran FM Gilbert Saboya noted that Israel was the center of investment and research, and it could be a good example for Andorra. He also noted the prospects for cooperation on cybersecurity, since it is one of the priority issues for Israel.
Israel’s Ambassador to Andorra, Daniel Kutner, in his turn, focused on the issues in various scientific areas the country is researching, noting that about 4% of Israel’s GDP is spent for this purpose. He expressed his readiness to share the most interesting experience in these areas with Andorra.
The meeting was attended by representatives of six Israeli companies – their heads made short presentations. The sphere of activity of companies is bio-medicine, engineering, safety and innovation.
