Inmates of Andorra la Comella prison will be able to remotely receive higher education, as well as continue listening to training courses. Such an agreement was signed between the Andorran government and the National University of Distance Education (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, UNED).
According to the agreement, prisoners can receive books and study materials. Tests and exams are also provided.
This option will expand the educational program of the penitentiary center, which today proposes Catalan and Spanish сourses, as well as Andorran history course.
The agreement will help prisoners to look for a job after serving their term of imprisonment.
