Andorra (Pyrenees) took the 11th position at the rating of the countries with the highest “upload” and “download” speed indexes. In accordance to Speedtest.net, that collects and analyses millions of results, the “fastest” countries are Hong Kong (96.99 mbps) and Singapore (82.41 mbps). The top-10 ratings also encompasses South Korea, Sweden and Switzerland. The index of Andorra made up 43.03 mbps. The USA (30.36 mbps) and Russia (25.53 mbps) took the 27th and 35th positions correspondingly.
Previously in 2012 the major provider of the country Andorra Telecom modernized its optic fiber network with 52 000 of subscribers all over the country by means of ultramodern technology Aurora Networks Trident7 PON Platform. Net Index states that in the mid of 2012 Andorra had the highest “upload” and “download” speed indexes.
