Guzet with 40 km of ski slopes

Guzet is located between 1,100 m and 2,100 m above sea level, in the town of Ustou in Ariège, in Haut-Salat, in the heart of the Pyrenees.

The resort is divided into three areas:

Guzet 1400, Prat-Mataou and le Freychet. Access is via two valleys: from the west via the Ustou valley, and from the east via the Col de Latrape from Aulus-les-Bains.

Projected in the 1950s, the creation of the resort dates back to the beginning of the 1960s with the installation of ski lifts and the creation of tracks between the Col de Latrape and the summit of Prat-Mataou. At the same time, a road was built from Aulus-les-Bains to the Col de Latrape, then to the top of Prat-Mataou on its north-western slope. Extensions took place during the 1970s and 1980s.
