Grandvalira, Andorra (Pyrenees) announced the dates for main competitions for professionals and amateurs in the sectors of Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig during the ski season of 2018.
January 20-21 – Salomon Quest
24-25 February – Skimo6 and Skimo10
March 5-9 – SLVSH Cup Peretol
10-11 March – SnowBike Grandvalira (Fatbike in the snow)
05-07 April – Speed Skiing World Cups (Downhill Skiing Competitions).
Next year Skimo ski mountaineering competitions will be held for the first time in two stages: Skimo6 and Skimo10. The Skimo6 route will be the same – skiers will cover the distance from Naturlandia – La Rabassa to Grau Roig (30 km, the altitude difference – 2000 m).
Skimo10 is a more complex route, designed for well-trained skiers. It will pass from Grau Roig to the ski resort of Arcalis. The distance is 70 km, the altitude difference is 5000 m.
The registration opens on 11th December. The limit of participants is 650 people. Last year, the limit was exhausted in less than 24 hours.
