The Government of Andorra has approved a national plan to combat drug addiction

The Government of Andorra has approved a national plan to combat drug addiction in Andorra (Pyrenees). The plan was developed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice, Social and Internal Affairs. The plan, in particular, provides for the training of psychologists to work with problem families, as well as strengthening educational measures to prevent drug addiction in families at risk zone.

The training is based on the Protego program, which was developed by the Association of PDS (Promoció i Desenvolupament Social), with the support of the European Union, the Department of Social Protection and the Family of the Catalonia Generalitat and based on the National Drug Control Plan in Spain. This program is part of the best practices of the European Commission against drug addiction.

“The family is the basis of education, it is very important to talk about the danger of drug use with children.The government of Andorra plans to develop measures aimed at improving education in this area, thereby preventing drug use,” reports The Government.
