The government of Andorra approved a bill on the new rights of the State University

The Government of Andorra approved a bill on the new rights of the State University of Andorra (Pyrenees).

New law implies greater financial independence and autonomy of the university in relation to the government of the principality.

As the Minister of Education of Andorra Eric Jover explained at a press conference, after 20 years of the university’s existence a law, published 20 years ago, needed revision and evolution.

The draft law defines the body of the university administration consisting of representatives of the university council, as well as administrative and technical workers, assigning rights and duties to it.

According to the bill, the university will be able to independently manage its own scientific resources, as well as financial projects, not directly related to state educational programs.
