Goulier Neige is a small winter sports resort for downhill skiing located in the French Pyrenees, in the Ariège department in the Occitanie region.
The snow stadium is located above the village of Goulier, a former municipality attached on January 1, 2019 to the new municipality of Val-de-Sos which is located in the Vicdessos valley, in the historic territory of Sabarthès.
It occupies the bottom of the valley between the peaks of Garbié de Brésoul (2,047 m) and Pédrix (and not Sarrasi as indicated on the IGN maps) (2,213 m), in a valley parallel to that of the Ourtou, at the foot of the north-west face of the Pique d’Endron (2,472 m).
The station was established in 1988.
The resort is located at an altitude of 1500 to 2000 m, has 6 slopes, 4 lifts and 8 km of trails, including:
1 zone for beginners
20 snow cannons per 3 hectares
1 equipment rental point
The station is 24 km west of Tarascon-sur-Ariège in the direction of Auzat and can be reached by the departmental road. You have to leave the village of Vicdessos on the right to begin a final 9 kilometer ascent which leads first to the village of Goulier before reaching its snow stadium located 4 kilometers upstream.
A variant of the long-distance hiking trail, the GR10B (the long-distance hiking trail 10 or GR 10 is a French long-distance hiking trail that crosses the Pyrenees, connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean), crosses the resort.
