Gateway embankment

Gateway embankment (Schluzovaya Naberezhnaya) is an embankment on the right shores of the drainage canal and Moscow River in Zamoskvorechye of the Central Administrative District of the city of Moscow. It passes from Zacepsky Val to the Novospassky Bridge.

In the 1990s, part of the Paris Commune buildings was reconstructed for offices. In 1998, the first stage of the Katerina Hotel opened in the reconstructed three-story building of the 19th century. Through the channel, near the Small Krasnokolmsky Bridge, a pedestrian second gateway bridge was transferred. This bridge connected the embankment with the modern business complex “Riverside Towers,” including the Moscow International House of Music and one of the highest hotels in Moscow – Swissotel Red Hills.

Nearest metro: Paveletskaya.
