The Gare de l’Est (East station), officially Paris-Est, is one of the 7 mainline railway stations in Paris (France).

It is located in the 10th arrondissement, not far southeast from the Gare du Nord, facing the Boulevard de Strasbourg, part of the north–south axis of Paris created by Georges-Eugène Haussmann.

With more than forty-one million travelers per year, it is the 5th station in Paris. More precisely, according to SNCF estimates, attendance at this station is 41,240,100 travelers in 2019. Its activity, which had been weakened by the creation of the RER E, increased since the commissioning of the TGV Est, with a 22% surplus of mainline passengers.

The station is the work of the architect François-Alexandre Duquesney and the engineer Pierre Cabanel de Sermet; the top of the west pediment is decorated with a statue by the sculptor Philippe-Joseph Henri Lemaire representing the city of Strasbourg, while a sculpture representing Verdun, the work of the sculptor Henri Varenne, adorns the east pediment. A major redevelopment of the Gare de l’Est accompanied the entry into service of the TGV Est in 2007.
