Fonarny Bridge in St. Petersburg

Fonarny Bridge (Lantern Bridge) is a road reinforced concrete frame bridge across the Moyka River in the Admiralteysky District of St. Petersburg, connecting Kazansky and 2nd Admiralteysky Islands.

Connects Lantern and Post Office lanes. Next to the bridge is the House of Culture of the Union of Communications (former German Reformed Church).

Upstream is the Blue Bridge, below is the Post Office Bridge.

The nearest metro station is Admiralteyskaya.

The existing bridge was built in 1971-1973 according to the project of the engineer of the Lengiproinzhproekt Institute L. N. Sobolev and the architect L. A. Noskov.

The total length of the bridge is 33 m, width – 20 m. The bridge is designed for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
