The Statistics Department of Andorra (Pyrenees) published data on the amount of Internet traffic in the Principality. According to official data in August this year, traffic has grown by 47.5% compared to August last year and amounted to 2.41 million GB. During first eight months of this year, compared to the same period last year, traffic increased by 44.9%. As for the volume of information accumulation, over the past 12 months it increased by 34.8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 24.92 billion GB.
Telephone traffic (without Internet) in August was 14.38 million minutes, an increase of 2.1% compared to August last year: 8.96 million minutes in Andorra and 5.42 million minutes – international calls.
In total, 46,537 cable users, 77.803 users using mobile communication services and 32,849 broadband Internet users are registered now in Andorra. These data show a decrease of 0.7% compared to August last year in the cable communication and an increase of 7% in the mobile telephony. From the point of view of broadband Internet users, their number increased by 6%.
